We wrote this a day at a time from our hotel rooms, sometimes a day or so late if we were extra busy or extra tired. It was a great way of letting the folks back home know where we were and what we were doing, and it captured our impressions as they existed at the moment.
But since the format of blogs tends to be oriented toward current information, it’s now a bit awkward to follow our trip in the normal chronological order. So here’s the easiest way to navigate. Click one of these links to get to a key date:
Then use the FORWARD and BACKWARD links at the end of each entry to navigate to the next entry in either direction.
We’ve also created a few off-blog pages that you might want to visit:
A map showing the location of the cities we visited.
A set of impressions that we put together after we returned home, summarizing a number of thoughts and insights that we developed over the course of the entire trip, in order to bring the whole experience together.
Note that all the pictures and other graphics are thumbnails. Click any of them to see a full-screen version in a new window. The videos require the latest version of Flash. We have lots more pictures and videos that we soon plan to upload to a photo site on the Web, so check back here in a while to look at them.A set of impressions that we put together after we returned home, summarizing a number of thoughts and insights that we developed over the course of the entire trip, in order to bring the whole experience together.
You can always return to this point in the blog by clicking the <<Home link at the bottom of any page or by clicking on the title in the box at the top.
