Flights were uneventful except for a well executed landing through very low altitude turbulence in Minneapolis. Both flights were loaded with older guys wearing camouflage clothing. We came to learn that this is duck hunting season, and an area not too far from here is well reknown for its duck population. It is apparently such a big thing that there is a permanently designated firearms control office in the customs area where they all went to pick up their shotguns.
After stopping for a maple donut at Tim Horton’s, we picked up our Toyota Camry rental car and headed off for our hotel. The desk clerk advised us that Sarah and Roxy had already been by to see if we had arrived, so we quickly abandoned our resolve to stay away from the grandkids, and pretty soon all four Masons were with us in our room. We rationalize our change of heart as being OK since Noelle had already figured out that we'd be coming, and she had learned to cover her mouth when coughing so we're safe from those darned little kid germs!
Dan's parents are flying in to be with the kids while we’re gone.
Report from Baltimore is that Simon and Lucy are still eying each other, with Lucy having gradually reduced the distance between the two to about six feet.
Tomorrow is dedicated to last minute shopping, helping Sarah with errands, visiting grandkids. We’ll take some pictures.
